The Art Squad was formed in 1994 to represent South African illustrators, cartoonists and storyboard artists. Over the years we have seen several illustrators come and go but the reputation of The Art Squad has survived any single artist. Our clients trust that their illustrations will be managed closely so that not only will deadlines be met but their artwork delivered to brief. Alongside 3D photorealistic renderings, digital and traditional illustration, cartoons, graphic recordings, animated instructional videos and caricatures, a big focus of ours has always been storyboards and layouts.

Digital Illustrations with a focus on Painting

After studying Fine Art at Michaelis and traveling extensively, Carmen rediscovered her love for drawing, and currently freelances as an illustrator for various advertising agencies. Her versatility has enabled her to work with a variety of clients such as Rolling Stone, Marie Claire, Nescafe´, Kulula, Prudential, BoE, Caltex and Jamesons.
She lives and works in her favourite city in the world, Cape Town.
