The Art Squad was formed in 1994 to represent South African illustrators, cartoonists and storyboard artists. Over the years we have seen several illustrators come and go but the reputation of The Art Squad has survived any single artist. Our clients trust that their illustrations will be managed closely so that not only will deadlines be met but their artwork delivered to brief. Alongside 3D photorealistic renderings, digital and traditional illustration, cartoons, graphic recordings, animated instructional videos and caricatures, a big focus of ours has always been storyboards and layouts.

Christi du Toit is a Cape Town based freelance graphic artist and multidisciplinary designer, specialising in, but not limited to, the fields of illustration, character design, graphic design, and lettering projects. Throughout his 10+ years of working in the creative industry he has worked with and for multiple bands, brands, businesses, studios, and agencies, both locally and internationally.

Select clients include the likes of Sanlam (via King James) resulting in a Gold Craft Loerie award, Serif (Affinity Designer and Photo), Total Sports (via Conduit), British Airways (Highlife SA in-flight Magazine), SABC3 (Expresso Breakfast Show), The Foschini Group (Puma/Archive), Metal4Africa, Playtopia, The Ontario Science Center, and many more.
