The Art Squad was formed in 1994 to represent South African illustrators, cartoonists and storyboard artists. Over the years we have seen several illustrators come and go but the reputation of The Art Squad has survived any single artist. Our clients trust that their illustrations will be managed closely so that not only will deadlines be met but their artwork delivered to brief. Alongside 3D photorealistic renderings, digital and traditional illustration, cartoons, graphic recordings, animated instructional videos and caricatures, a big focus of ours has always been storyboards and layouts.

Siobhan Twomey

Background and Character Illustration for Animation

Siobhan's background spans drawing and painting; film making; design and animation. She studied Film at University College Dublin, and spent a semester cutting and splicing 16mm film at NYU in New York. Later, she studied Animation at Ballyfermot College,and subsequently worked in animation studios in Dublin and Vancouver. Siobhan has also facilitated digital media, animation, and art workshops in South Africa. She provides designs and artwork for a number of Dublin-based animation studios and is  a lead Trainer for MacProVideo who have published her online courses on How to Draw, Storyboards, Design and Layout. 
Siobhan currently lives in South Africa and provides commercial artwork on a freelance basis; she paints and teaches life drawing workshops.
