The Art Squad was formed in 1994 to represent South African illustrators, cartoonists and storyboard artists. Over the years we have seen several illustrators come and go but the reputation of The Art Squad has survived any single artist. Our clients trust that their illustrations will be managed closely so that not only will deadlines be met but their artwork delivered to brief. Alongside 3D photorealistic renderings, digital and traditional illustration, cartoons, graphic recordings, animated instructional videos and caricatures, a big focus of ours has always been storyboards and layouts.

Unathi Dyani

Unathi Dyani is an Eastern Cape-born Illustrator, Graphic Designer and Art Director currently based in Johannesburg. Having begun his journey in advertising in 2015 he has collaborated for notable brands such as Standard Bank, Simba, Nescafé Ricoffy and more. He draws inspiration from cultural icons like Sindiso Nyoni, Pola Maneli, and African Ginger, and continues to push the envelope to one day stamp himself as one of South Africa's top illustrators like the aforementioned ones.
